Stone Countertops


Some examples of stone countertops are granite, marble, soapstone, and slate. Granite is the most popular stone used for countertops; however, it is very porous and no two pieces are identical in color or pattern.

- Timeless, natural stone
- Extremely durable
- Resistant to heat
- No two stone countertops look the same, however it

  can be porous
- Undermount stainless steel sinks and granite composite

   sinks are available

- Some can scratch or stain
- Occasional sealing needed
- Tough on dishware and glasses
- Bacteria issues due to porous surface
- Backsplashes are applied with a caulk joint
- Seams will be visible and detectable to the touch -   seams are filled with color match caulk.
